When the Covid-19 pandemic began to cause huge upheaval in social care practice, we wanted to explore how a social pedagogical perspective could help practitioners navigate the uncharted territory they found themselves in. The series launched in June 2020 as part of an international online conference, run in partnership with the Social Pedagogy Association (US) and the Social Pedagogy Professional Association (UK).

Each episode brings together practitioners, academics and learning facilitators to explore one social pedagogical concept and what it means in everyday practice. Watch the whole series below, or visit the series page to watch every episode with its full description.

with the national leaving care benchmarking forum

This free lunchtime webinar series grew out of our Relational Practice peer learning programme, co-facilitated with the National Leaving Care Benchmarking Forum and supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Across seven webinars, practitioners and leaders share what they have learned about building and sustaining relationships with care experienced young people, alongside practical resources you can use with your own team.

podcast series and report · with collaborate cic

Together with Collaborate CIC, we have created both a podcast series, Changing the Narrative, and a report on how to advance equity through Human Learning Systems.

Relational public services need more than good intentions to enable and enhance equity. Drawing on conversations with practitioners from a range of Human Learning Systems initiatives, the podcast and report explore how organisations frame their work around equity, what they do to advance it and how equity can move from being implicit to intentional in everyday practice.
